Southern Sweden's Söderåsen shows a logged forest can heal
Söderåsen national park in Skåne protects one of northern Europe's largest continuous stretches of broadleaf woodland, land that was still being logged until 1989. Twelve years later it became a national park, and the beech forest has since regrown into a major hiking and wild swimming destination.
